Terms & Conditions
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before attending any lesson or activity with Bae Surf School. By booking with us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined below. If you have any questions, please contact us before your session.
1. Bookings
A booking with Bae Surf School becomes confirmed once we have received either:

an online booking confirmation
-
written confirmation via email
-
verbal confirmation for last-minute bookings
By confirming a booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Spaces for lessons and courses are limited, and bookings are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
2. Payment
To secure your booking:

Full payment per participant is required at the time of booking.
Payments can be made via:
-
Credit or debit card
-
Bank transfer (BACS)
-
PayPal
The person making the booking is responsible for payment for all participants listed and for ensuring everyone has read these Terms & Conditions.
3. Changes to Bookings
If you need to make changes to your booking, please contact us as soon as possible.
Changes may be possible up to 14 days before the lesson date, subject to availability.
If changes are requested within 14 days of the session, the full original booking amount remains payable.
Group size reductions must be confirmed in writing via email.
In exceptional circumstances (such as serious illness or bereavement), changes may be considered at the discretion of Bae Surf School.
4. Cancellations
If you need to cancel your booking, you must notify us in writing by email.
Cancellation terms:
More than 60 days before lesson

20% of the booking value is retained.
Between 28 and 14 days before lesson
-
A credit note will be issued, valid until the end of the following surf season.
Less than 14 days before lesson

The full booking fee is payable.
Participants who fail to attend (no-shows) will be charged the full booking amount and will not receive a refund or credit note.
Gift vouchers are non-refundable, but may be transferred to another recipient.
5. Refund Policy
Bae Surf School does not offer refunds.
In certain circumstances, a credit note may be issued that can be used toward a future lesson, subject to availability.
6. Participation Requirements
Surfing and ocean activities involve inherent risks.
To participate in activities with Bae Surf School:
Participants must:

Be able to swim at least 50 metres

Inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or injuries

Complete a participant declaration form
Participants must not take part if they:
-
Have a serious heart condition
-
Are pregnant
-
Are under the influence of alcohol or drugs
-
Are taking medication that affects physical ability or awareness
All participants must follow the instructions of instructors and staff at all times.
Failure to follow instructions may result in removal from the session without refund.
7. Participants Under 18
Participants under 18 years old must have a parent or legal guardian sign the participation form.
For organised groups (such as schools), a designated group leader or teacher may sign on behalf of participants.
8. Equipment
Participants may use Bae Surf School equipment during lessons.
While we take reasonable steps to maintain equipment safety, participants are responsible for:

Using equipment responsibly

Reporting any damage immediately
9. Liability
Bae Surf School does not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
However, we cannot accept responsibility for:

Loss of personal belongings

Injuries caused by circumstances outside our control

Damage resulting from failure to follow safety instructions
Participants take part in activities at their own risk.
10. Surf Conditions
Surfing depends on weather and sea conditions.
If conditions are deemed unsafe, Bae Surf School will attempt to:

Reschedule the lesson, or
-
Issue a credit note for a future session.
If sea conditions are safe but there are no waves, alternative activities or training sessions may take place.
Credit notes must be used before the end of the following surf season and are subject to availability.
11. Photography & Media
Photos or videos may be taken during lessons for promotional purposes.
These may be used on:

Our website
-
Social media channels
-
Marketing materials
By participating in activities with Bae Surf School, you consent to the use of images or recordings that may include you.
If you would prefer not to appear in photos or videos, please inform us before your lesson begins.
12. Data Protection
Bae Surf School respects your privacy.
We may occasionally send emails about:

surf lessons
-
offers or events
Your personal data will never be shared with third parties.
You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.
13. Website Accuracy
We aim to ensure that all information on our website is accurate. However, descriptions and content are provided as a guide and may occasionally change.
Bae Surf School cannot accept liability for minor inaccuracies or omissions.
14. Pricing
Prices listed on the website are correct at the time of publication.
Bae Surf School reserves the right to change prices at any time, although confirmed bookings will not be affected.
15. Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Welsh and English law.
Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
